Shelley and Chuck Irwin have been happily married for 29 years. Shelley grew up In Rock Springs, and Chuck has been in the Green River/Rock Springs area for 45 years. They love the people, opportunities and activities in Rock Springs, Wyoming and surrounding areas have to offer. Shelley has always been a very good cook and very good at making any recipe her own. Chuck and the two lovely daughters, love it when she is browsing through one of her many recipe books, or online recipe sites because it means, very soon, they will be tasting something wonderful.

One of the daughters, Hannah, was on the traveling soccer team here in town, so they ended up all over the state for tournaments. While on one of these trips, they were killing some time between games and Shelley wanted to check out a kitchen shop on the main street. Chuck wasn’t too excited about that and volunteered to take some bags to the vehicle. Shelley took longer than he expected, so he ended up going in and immediately was hit with the smell of the coffee sample that was out. Chuck was a happy camper then, grabbed a sample and began looking around too. Well they both loved the store, saw items that they had no idea even existed, bought a few things and left. Both couldn’t stop thinking about and talking about how nice that store was to shop in and wondered why there wasn’t anything like that in Rock Springs. The next day they decided “Why don’t we start one?” After 3 long years of working on business plans, searching for a place to have the store, and finally the financing, the store was opened July of 2015.

Heart of the Home Kitchenware is a one of a kind store in Rock Springs, and surrounding region that sells a variety of taste bud satisfying specialty food items as well as sleek cookware, bakeware items and more.

The most popular is Olivelle Olive Oils and Vinegars. Featuring 23 flavors of olive oil and 24 flavors of Balsamic, and 2 Wine Vinegars of the highest quality. They will amaze you just sampling them each day at our store, but will step up your favorite recipes at your home for your family. We are adding new flavors often for your tasting pleasure.
